Day 1: Marrakech Arrival

Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour
Today, you will explore the Moroccan tourism hub of Marrakech. Your local guide will show you the magnificent El Bahia Palace, Majorelle Garden, and Ben Youssef Madrasa, all dating back to the 12th century. To reach Jamaa El Fna Square, the iconic market square in Marrakech’s old town, meander through the narrow lanes of the souk bazaars, which are lined with storytellers, magicians, food stalls, and snake charmers. Day 3: Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura
Leave the ochre-colored city of Marrakech behind, and travel to the breathtaking Tizi n’ Tichka pass to observe the daily activities of isolated rural communities. In the afternoon, visit the fascinating Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of South Moroccan architecture, home to one of Morocco’s best-preserved kasbahs. Your route continues through Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa due to its use as a filming location for movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Star Wars. Day 4: Dades – Todra – Sahara Desert
Today, explore the renowned Kasbah Amridil, then head to the Sahara Desert via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the arid, mountainous Boumalne Dades. Todra Gorge, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Sahara, offers one of Morocco’s most spectacular and breathtaking natural vistas, with towering cliffs rising over 300 meters. Take a short hike through the cliffs, as the limestone formations provide an excellent hiking location. In the late afternoon, settle into the luxurious desert camp at Merzouga. The stunning reddish-hued sand dunes, which can reach up to 150 meters in height, create an otherworldly sight. Day 5: Sahara Desert – Fes
Depart from Fes and head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the way you will pass through Ifrane, a picturesque ski resort known as Little Switzerland, and see Azrou’s cedar forests and Barbary apes. For lunch, make a stop in Midelt, known for its apple production. Continuing through the Ziz Valley, with its extensive palm groves, the primary source of Morocco’s date production, you’ll descend the Atlas Mountains. Arriving in Merzouga before sunset, and still have time for a 45-60 minute camel ride at dusk into the Erg Chebbi Dunes to set up camp in a luxurious tent at a desert oasis. Day 6: Fes Guided Tour
Today, you will visit Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual centre. Your tour guide will lead you through the oldest ancient operating medina in the world, often referred to as a living museum. Explore the maze-like medina, bustling with artisans, markets, tanneries, and mosques, travelling back in time to the Middle Ages. Explore the specialized areas that divide the souk while passing donkeys carrying loads (this is one of the largest car-free urban zones in the world with 9000 narrow streets). Then, by land, head to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can explore some of the most magnificent and well-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Your tour guide will lead you on a stroll past the Capitoline Temple, Basilica, Roman Baths, Triumphal Arch, Houses, and Palaces, all adorned with stunning mosaics dating back over 2000 years. Day 8: Chefchaouen – Rabat
This morning, explore Chefchaouen, a small town known for its striking blue colour, nestled between two mountains known as Ech-Chaoua (The Horns). This charming village is made up of steep, winding streets lined with white and indigo buildings that have been lime washed, little squares with intricate fountains, and homes with ornately carved doors and red tile roofs. In the afternoon, visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, located at the Royal Palace, the King’s formal residence. Day 9: Casablanca – Marrakech
This morning, visit Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and commercial centre.
